Attunity is on a path.
Over the last 18 plus years we have developed an enviable track record and reputation for customer service, excellence and technological innovation in the world of enterprise-class application and data integration software.
But we don’t believe that is enough.
We think that while the last 20 years has seen the software industry impact massively on the way most of us manage and perform in our businesses, there is something missing; something lacking.
Systemization of business processes, for the purpose of streamlining and cutting costs, has been the main focus for corporate IT departments. It is now commonplace for companies to have information-based software applications that drive much of the day-to-day activities of their employees. So much so, that many analysts and commentators believe that most of the ‘big gains’ from implementing such systems have now been made.
But these ‘routine’ process-centric activities are not the only activities that are carried out within organizations. In fact a growing number of companies outsource such activities, and as such are not being carried out by employees at all. Increasingly it is the ‘non-routine’ activities, such as the process exceptions, new business initiatives, innovations and new strategies, along with other activities typically carried out by management, and high-value knowledge workers that are seen as key to business success in the future. Yet until now technology has done little if anything to assist and improve the way these activities are performed. We aim to change that.
We see that there is a new category of software application emerging; a category that focuses on business innovation and change. A category that brings together tools, techniques and standards and delivers substantial benefit to the core activities that drive that change. We call them Workplace Applications, and Attunity is at the forefront of delivering them.
