ISG Navigator, theleading information infrastructure solution, enables customers using QueryObjectSystemTM to utilize data from an extensive list of data sources forcreating specialized high-content data marts. In addition, ISG Navigatorprovides front-end ODBC and OLE DB interfaces to support most commercialbusiness intelligence presentation tools.
"ISG Navigator gives us the ability to provide thepowerful capabilities of QueryObject System to a wider range of customersneeding to access data from relational, non-relational, flat files or virtuallyany other data source," said Robert Thompson, president and CEO,QueryObject Systems Corporation. "It also gives us a tested, provensolution that offers performance improvements – an important benefit for ourcustomers. ISG Navigator's power and efficiency in executing simple and complexqueries involving one or more databases enables QueryObject customers to deployour powerful data mart tools more quickly and effectively than would otherwisebe possible."
"We are seeing an increasing number of applicationtools and database vendors looking toward partnering with ISG as a means ofsolving the complex information integration issues," said Arie Gonen, ISG'sCEO and chairman. "ISG is the leading provider of Enterprise InformationInfrastructure solutions, with ISG Navigator the solution of choice fortechnology vendors who want to bring to market quickly robust, flexible productsthat meet the diverse needs of their customers." Gonen added, "We arepleased to have QueryObject, a leader in the business intelligence data martmarket, join our growing OEM partner program. This partnership demonstrates ISGNavigator’s value and versatility in the business intelligence market."
The QueryObject System allows users to rapidly analyze very large volumes ofcomplex business data by easily transforming it into a compact, highlydistributable analytical object – a QueryObject – that can be analyzed usingindustry standard tools and techniques. The System produces an analytical datamart that uniquely represents complex data relationships through polynomialequations. This resulting QueryObject is a mathematical index of all therelevant dimensions and metrics, including direct keys back to the source data.
The System provides a potentially high number of concurrentusers with efficient and responsive access to higher information volumes than isavailable in traditional data marts, while maintaining a proportionally smaller, easier to distribute, footprint. The polymorphic nature of the QueryObjectschema allows simultaneous access – through an ODBC and OLE/DB interface –with most industry-standard analytical tools and techniques includingspreadsheets, ad hoc queries, multidimensional analysis and data mining.
The QueryObject System engine, which transforms relational orflat-file data into QueryObjects, runs on MVS, UNIX and NT servers. QueryObjectdata marts are then distributed to desktop or laptop clients, or UNIX or NT LANand Web servers, for user analysis.
