Attunity Introduces Real-Time Integration of Oracle Data with SQL Server Integration Services

BURLINGTON, MA, May 27, 2009 – Attunity, Ltd. (OTC BB: ATTUF.OB), a leading provider of real-time data integration and event capture software, announced today the general availability (GA) of Attunity Oracle-CDC for SSIS, delivering market leading change data capture (CDC) technology tightly-integrated with Microsoft SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) that makes integration, replication, and synchronization of Oracle data efficient, real-time, and affordable.

In today’s market, the ability to make information available in real time and having the right information available at the right time is key to optimizing business operations and satisfying customer expectations. IT Managers are increasingly looking at data integration tools that can accommodate such business demands while at the same time deal with the rapid growth in data volumes and focus on lowering costs. Yet to date, such data integration tools came at a high cost. This is now changing with the introduction of Attunity Oracle-CDC for SSIS.

"The demand for real time information has grown quickly over the last few years and the data integration tools market continues to expand as organizations recognize the role of these technologies in support of high-profile initiatives such as BI and MDM" said Ted Friedman, VP and Distinguished Analyst at Gartner. "At the same time, the recent focus on cost control has generated an increase in demand for lower-cost integration tools."

Building on Attunity’s low-impact CDC technology that identifies, captures and delivers only the changes made in enterprise databases, Attunity Oracle-CDC for SSIS offers organizations a highly efficient solution by processing a fraction of the Oracle data compared to the traditional bulk load approach, thereby reducing costs and enabling real-time integration. By leveraging existing investments in SQL Server and the data integration capabilities available with SSIS, organizations can achieve significantly lower costs compared to other solutions that may cost even four times and more.

Architected to ensure ease of use for the Microsoft SSIS developer and minimal impact on the Oracle source database, Attunity Oracle-CDC for SSIS is available for both SQL Server 2005 and SQL Server 2008, and includes the following key capabilities:

  • Non-intrusive, log-based Oracle CDC for Oracle 9i, 10g, and 11g
  • Full integration into SSIS and the Business Intelligence Developer Studio
  • Generation of SSIS packages for processing Oracle data, reducing development efforts and ensuring best practice implementation
  • Automatic synchronization of full-load and CDC processing
  • Monitoring and control of CDC processing

"We are always looking for ways to help our customers get the maximum value from the data stored in their various business systems." said Tom Casey, general manager of SQL Server Business Intelligence at Microsoft Corp. "Using Microsoft SQL Server, SSIS and innovations from industry partners like Attunity, customers can efficiently integrate large volumes of datascale and derive rich, new insights using the tools and applications they are already familiar with."

"As a pioneer and leader in real-time data integration and changed data capture software, we’ve been helping enterprises for years access their operational and transactional systems, for applications such as real-time BI, business-activity-monitoring, replication and application synchronization, in the most efficient, low-impact manner." said Shimon Alon, Attunity’s chief executive officer. "We now bring that enterprise-class technology to all those organizations using Microsoft SQL Server and Oracle together, significantly reducing overall costs and bringing the promise of faster, new intelligence-led applications to a wider community than ever before."
