    Smile AIS in Fedora 11

    Hi,
I know AIS (v 5.1.0.11) is only available for RHEL, but I'm testing it in Fedora 11. AIS installation is ok, but when i try to start irpcd this show next message error :

    -------------------------------------------------------------------
    [root@AttunityFedora tmp]# irpcd start
[C020] Failed in looking up host name (gethostname())
    [C020]
error ===> get_sock_addr: Can not get host info, gethostbyname() failed for host AttunityFedora
    error ===> get_sock_addr: Success (errno:0)

No such process; sys_kill_process(): kill() failed, pid is 2951

    But irpcd runing.
Problem is that servers process, doesn't find name machine, and doesn't connect with irpcd (i think). view next error :

    Default hostname is not defined

    Hello Igancio

    1) Please run the command nav_util check tcpip and see if host name is defined.
    oracledevlnx(nav) ~/navroot/bin >> nav_util check tcpip
    Checking TCP/IP configuration...
    Definition of 'localhost' - OK
    Local host name - oracledevlnx
    Machine domain name - oracledevlnx.attunity.local
    Machine address - 194.xx.xx.xx
    This test took 0.002 seconds.

Consult a Linux sys admin on how to define it.
    2) You can try running the daemon with tcpip address:
    irpcd -l xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx:2551 start
