We're Just Beaming with the Buzz from AWS re:Invent

November 14, 2013

Senior Solutions Architect, Thiago Bruch, giving AWS reInvent attendees a demo of Attunity CloudBeamWe are having a blast at AWS re:Invent 2013, the largest gathering of developers and technical leaders from the AWS community. We've had amazing conversations with attendees and learning a ton.  Our booth (#917) has been swarmed with AWS customers looking for a better way to move their data to, from and between the Cloud.  Our Senior Solutions Architect, Thiago Bruch, has been giving many demos to interested attendees and Brad Helicher, Director of Cloud Business, has been on hand to speak with AWS customers about the exciting new features of Attunity CloudBeam

I just wanted to share some recent highlights from the event so in case you missed it.

As noted in an earlier post, we've announced that we expanded our suite of high-performance big data movement solutions for Amazon Web Services with Attunity CloudBeam 2.0 (read the full PR here). As the Wall Street Journal and SiliconANGLE reported, Attunity CloudBeam 2.0 broadens offering to include support for Amazon RDS and boosts loading speed to the Cloud by up to 10x over traditional methods.  This caught the attention of the media.

Silicon ANGLE: AWS + Attunity offer near real-time, flexibility + scalability | #reinventYesterday, SiliconANGLE published an article (AWS + Attunity Offer Real-Time, Flexibility + Scalability) that highlighted two Attunity CloudBeam customer success stories. Daniel Heacock, Senior Business Systems Analyst at Etix and Adam Haines, Data Architect for Federated Sample, discussed their experience as Attunity customers with theCUBE host Jeff Kelly.

In the article, both were asked to comment on their experience with Attunity, Haines said they “started with a home-grown solution to move our data from our production SQL server into Redshift. Attunity provided a nearly real-time solution, "the reports that we were running on our other systems were taking ten times longer." Heacock added, "Redshift is enabling us in a lot of ways." Performance is a definite advantage, as it "basically enabled us to develop products that would not been possible otherwise. The ability to crunch data in a specific time frame is very important."  You can watch the full interview below.

Attunity CloudBeam noted by Network World as a Hot new product from Amazon's cloud showIf that wasn't enough, we had the added bonus of being picked up by two industry-leading news sources. Today in their Products of the Week slideshow, Network World noted Attunity CloudBeam as a "Hot New Product" from AWS re:Ivent 2013.  Tech Target also noted Attunity CloudBeam in an article on the new, exciting products coming out of AWS re:Invent 2013.

We've got one more day to go, and if you are at AWS re:Invent I hope you will stop by booth 917 to see what all the buzz is about.
